SaskPower Issued Three Information Bulletins
In May 2016, SaskPower issued three bulletins related to venting of appliances and gas systems in new homes as well as to identify common non-compliance issues. To view the individual bulletins, simply click on the highlighted bulletin number below:
- Bulletin 02-2016 discusses new clauses added to the 2015 edition of the CSA B149.1 Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code. These new clauses are related to the requirements for venting of appliances.
- Bulletin 03-2016 discusses the requirements for licenses gas contractors and gas fitters to ensure that gas inspections are completed before the homeowner takes occupancy.
- Bulletin 04-2016 discusses restrictions to the venting of appliances using exhaust hoods. In addition, the bulletin also describes the most common types of non-compliant issues SaskPower sees in relation to appliance and gas system installations.
