On February 25, 2017, the British Columbia Safety Authority (BCSA) issued the first revision to Information Bulletin IB-GA 2013-03 (Rev. 01) entitled “Hazardous Location Requirements – Gas Equipment Installations”.
This revised bulletin clarifies what must be done a gas appliance not certified for a hazardous location has been installed in a hazardous location as defined by the B149.1 and B149.2 codes.
